THE tide shows little sign of turning for Bangor Amateurs who suffered a seventh straight league defeat at the weekend.
For the Ballyvarnet club, who have won just once since the turn of the year and who parted company with boss Andy Beattie last month, it is quite plain to see where their problems lie. Saturday’s loss to St Lukes is the eighth time this season they have conceded four or more goals in a league game.
Strikes from Scott Majury and Stef Geraldes had the Ams two ahead inside 30 minutes, but St Lukes hit back with a pair of goals before the break. The Belfast visitors went in front for the first time after 69 minutes through Kyle Short, with Jordan Lucas responding for the Ams less than 10 minutes later to make it 3-3.
Short would go on to complete his hat-trick with two further goals before captain Mark Cooling pulled one back for the home side four minutes from time.
