BANGOR and District Archery Club hosted the Northern Ireland Schools Cup Junior Archery Competition on Saturday at St. Columbanus College.

The Schools Cup is an annual event, organised this year by the Bangor Club, with 38 schools and 113 young people taking part from throughout Northern Ireland.

The archers represented their school and their own archery club at the event and many were shooting in a major competition for the first time.

Bangor and District Archery Club, founded in 1971, is one of Northern Ireland’s oldest archery clubs and over the years has had members who have represented Northern Ireland and Great Britain at the highest level of competition in the disciplines of target and field archery.
