NIKOL Marinova led the way for Bangor’s Olympia Rhythmic Gymnastics Club at the recent Irish National Championships in Dublin.
Marinova took third place overall amongst the senior gymnasts at the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena, impressing with her hoop and ribbon routines.
The rest of the club’s representatives also performed to a high standard, with Maya Zakauskaite securing overall silver and Penelope New claiming overall bronze at junior level 2.
Marta Paegle won the bronze medal overall at pre-junior level 2, while the youngest Olympia gymnasts, Francesca Nixon, Brodie Denvir, Connie Nelis and Annie Nelis, also achieved good results in such a high-level competition.
