BANGOR have adjusted their squad as pre-season preparations get under way this week ahead of another Premiership campaign.
After securing their status in the top flight for a second season, Lee Feeney’s men will build up to be ready to kick off their competitive season in early August.
Before then, a series of pre-season friendlies awaits, starting with a trip to Breda Park to take on Knockbreda at 2pm on Saturday.
As well as finalising his pre-season schedule, the Bangor boss has been busy building his squad for the new season.
Last week, the Seasiders confirmed the signings of both Lucas McRoberts and Steven McCullough.
McRoberts, a 19 year-old striker, makes the move to Northern Ireland from his native Scotland following the expiry of his contract with Ayr United.
A product of the Scottish Championship side’s youth setup, McRoberts made nine
appearances for the South Ayrshire side last season, scoring twice in his 18 senior
appearances.
The teenage frontman’s development also saw him spend time on loan with both Bonnyrigg Rovers and East Stirlingshire, bagging 15 goals in his 40 outings in the Lowland league.
While McRoberts is new to Irish League football, Bangor’s second signing, Steven McCullough, has spent his career in the top flight.
The 31 year-old defender has more than 400 senior appearances to his name in a career which started out with Glentoran.
The left-sided defender had loan spells with both Ards and Carrick Rangers before going on to make more than 250 appearances for Ballymena United.
McCullough signed for Portadown in May 2024 and joins the Seasiders for an undisclosed fee after being placed on the transfer list at his own request at the end of last season, because of a want to be closer to home and a change in his personal circumstances.
While McRoberts and McCullough join the Clandeboye Park side, Kyle Owens and Ben Walker have both left the Seasiders to join Championship side Dundela following the expiry of their contracts.
Stephen Fallon, who had spent the second half of last season on loan from Coleraine, has also left the Seasiders at the conclusion of his loan deal and has now signed for Oran Kearney’s Ballymena United side.
