NO FEWER than seven players from Bangor Hockey Club were part of an Ulster squad which played in a three-match series against Wales over the Easter weekend.

Callum Duncan captained the province’s Under 19 side to a 5-1 win in their first match with clubmates Ben Law and Sam McMillan both scoring. Ben was on target again in the second game, a 4-1 win, which also saw J.J. Holley scoring twice.

Adam Duffield, Jack Duncan and Daniel Irvine were the other Bangor players to receive call-ups, with the local club accounting for almost half of the 16-strong panel in Cardiff.
