A BANGOR home is giving people ‘pumpkin’ to talk about after transforming into a haunted house to raise vital funds for Air Ambulance NI.
The dwelling, donned with supersize skeletons and other creepy creatures, joins two other homes in Coleraine and Lisburn that have taken on the task to invite neighbours and Halloween fans to enjoy the festivities and support a local cause.
Having invested significant time, creativity and resources into the display, the owners of 4 Helens Wood Place only ask for a small donation from visitors, with all proceeds raised going directly to Air Ambulance NI to ensure the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) can continue to provide critical pre-hospital care that can mean the difference between life and death.
Kerry Anderson, head of fundraising at Air Ambulance NI, said the charity is so grateful to the ‘amazing supporters who go above and beyond to turn their homes into incredible Halloween spectacles’.“Not only do they bring joy and excitement to their local communities, but every donation they collect helps the medical team reach patients in their hour of greatest need. Their creativity truly helps save lives.”
Working in partnership with Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, Air Ambulance NI can reach any location in Northern Ireland within 25 minutes with the HEMS team responding to an average of two emergencies daily.
The service requires £8,200 every day to remain operational – a figure made possible only through public support and fundraising efforts such as these. For more information on the fundraiser and the charity’s lifesaving work, visit: www.airambulanceni.org
