BANGOR Netball Club’s under-19 side responded from their defeat to Dromore with victory against Valley at Belfast Girls’ Model School last Wednesday night. The defensive unit of Zoe West-Hurst (GK), Caoimhe Fenlon (GD), and Hollie Glasgow (WD) worked hard to get turnovers early on, with attackers Essie Costello (C) and Eve Doherty (WA) steadily getting the ball up-court to shooters Amelie Reid (GA) and Elena Martin (GS).By the end of the second quarter, Bangor had secured a good lead of 29-17. Going into the third quarter, lots of changes were made with Olivia McMullan moving into GD, Jasmyn McVeigh-Bell into WA and Chloe Whyte to WD. These players worked hard to feed the shooters and ensured Bangor stayed in the lead. Bangor’s all-round performance was strong throughout as they secured a comfortable win.
