Lynda Stewart, a beloved resident of Oakmount Lodge in Bangor, recently celebrated an incredible 100th birthday surrounded by her loving family.
A Life Full of Memories
Lynda’s special day took place on Monday morning, when her family gathered to mark this remarkable milestone.
Born in Belfast, Lynda was the second daughter of Thomas and Sarah Moore. At the age of 11, she moved to Bangor with her family in 1936, settling at 27 Central Avenue, which became her home for over 70 years.
Lynda attended Bangor Technical College and later worked at the Prudential Assurance Company. As a teenager, she met Norman Stewart, whom she married in 1947. Together, they raised three children: Alan, Carole, and Brian, in their family home on Central Avenue.
A Legacy of Family and Dedication
The family home on Central Avenue was a cherished place filled with love, and Lynda devoted herself to both her home and family. Over the years, she became Nana to five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories with each new generation.
After the passing of her beloved husband Norman in 2011, Lynda moved to the Ballyholme Mews Fold where she enjoyed a new chapter in her life for six years. In recent years, she has called Oakmount Lodge home.
