NORTH Down MP Alex Easton joined Breast Cancer Now in Parliament last week to support the charity’s flagship wear it pink campaign and those affected by breast cancer.

Now in its 24th year, wear it pink has raised more than £43m since 2001, helping to fund lifesaving research and vital support for people across the UK.

This year’s Westminster event, sponsored by Baroness Delyth Morgan, focused on improving the experiences of people living with secondary (metastatic) breast cancer. MPs heard directly from three women sharing their stories of diagnosis, treatment, and support.

Breast Cancer Now is urging the UK Government to collect accurate data on people living with secondary breast cancer, helping the NHS plan essential services and treatment. The charity also highlighted its More Time to Live campaign, which calls for fairer access to life-extending drugs on the NHS.

Mr Easton said he  was proud to join Breast Cancer Now in Parliament and stand with everyone affected by breast cancer.

“ As Breast Cancer Awareness Month ends, this event was a powerful reminder that more must be done to support those living with this devastating disease,” he said.
