Newtownards bowler Sandra Bailie and Bangor’s Chloe Watson bowled their way through the Irish stadium bowls finals victoriously in February to set them up with a chance to recreate their 2018 gold medal in the British Isles Pairs.
Last week on home carpet at The Belfast Indoor Stadium, after a few good rink wins with fellow bowlers Cliodhna Eadie and Alison Morris in the Internationals series, the pair overcame a strong Welsh pair 22-10 in the semi final and a 17-10 win against Scotland’s best to secure another British Isles Gold Medal to add their increasing CV.
