    AN INSPIRATIONAL centenarian has had her milestone birthday recognised in the country’s most rarefied locations.Bangor woman Elizabeth ‘Lily’ Tucker has already received her 100th birthday card from Buckinghim Palace, but her most recent accolade hails from the House of ParliamentThe honour follows an Early Day Motion in the Houses of Commons which was presented to Lily by North Down MP Alex Easton following her life of devotion to her local community and church.Lily turned 100 on November 18 when the postman delivered the traditional birthday card from King Charles, and when she celebrated the occasion surrounded by friends and family at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Bangor.The Early Day Motion (EDM) commended Lily’s ‘lifelong commitment to her family, community, and church’, as well as her ‘legacy of kindness, dedication, and inspiration to all who know her’.The EDM ‘recognises the participation of St Andrew’s Sunday School, Kids4Jesus, in presenting Lily with heartfelt artwork made by children, showcasing the intergenerational bonds of the church community, and wishes her continued good health and happiness in the years ahead’. Speaking at the presentation, Mr Easton said: “It is an absolute honour to present Lily with this official copy of the Early Day Motion from the House of Commons, celebrating her 100th birthday. “Lily is a much-loved and respected member of our community, and this tribute recognises not only her incredible longevity but also the kindness, wisdom and dedication she has shown throughout her life. “Her story is an inspiration, and I am delighted to see her receive this recognition at the highest level,” he said. Mr Easton extended his best wishes to Lily for ‘continued good health and happiness’.
