AFTER a very wet, cold winter, everyone at Ballyholme Bowling Club is looking forward to a warm, sunny summer of action.
Their doors open at Ward Park Pavilion at 1.45pm on Monday, April 13, to be organised for play on the green at 2pm in preparation for another fun-filled and competitive year.
As Ballyholme are always focused on encouraging new members, the club has invited their members to Bring a Friend to Bowls on Rinks Day next Monday.
The invitation is also open to anyone else who would like to join us on the green. Please note, flat rubber-soled shoes are worn on the greens at all times.
The club plays in the Northern Ireland Women’s Bowling Association (NIWBA) Senior League, which commences on Thursday, May 7, and fixtures are played at home and away each Thursday afternoon.
We are honoured to advise that one of our members, Helen Brown, is the newly-elected President of NIWBA for the incoming year.
In addition to the Senior League, the NIWBA will be hosting numerous competitions across different venues throughout the season, the finals of which will be played at Ward Park.
The ladies of Ballyholme Bowling Club will host the events in support of Helen’s role within the Association.
If you’re interested in playing outdoor bowls, come along to the weekly rinks at Ward Park on Monday afternoons, between 2-4pm, where you will be made so very welcome.
