THREE pre-season bowling events took place at Pickie Bowling Club this week.
On Thursday club member Elizabeth Blair hosted the NI Women’s Private Greens League (NIWPGL) flag unfurling day as part of her duties as this year’s NIWPGL president for 2025.
Representatives from various clubs mingled with Pickie members for a day’s play in the sunshine.
On Saturday Pickie hosted Crumlin Bowling Club, from Dublin, for a pre-season friendly. The visitors eventually won but it was an enjoyable day for all concerned and the weather stayed good for the afternoon’s matches.
On Monday Pickie’s Ladies Day was hosted by lady president, Mildred McBrinn. Another strong turnout of members took part in matches throughout the afternoon.
