THERE’S a league and cup double header for Lee Feeney to prepare for as Bangor do battle on two fronts to kickstart a busy November.
Tomorrow night (Friday), the Seasiders will look to cement their place at the top of the Championship when they face a rejuvenated Ballyclare Comrades at Clandeboye Park.
Then on Tuesday night, attention turns to round two of the BetMcLean Cup as Premiership side Cliftonville make the trip to Bangor for a knockout tie that provides manager Feeney with a bit of a headache.
Sandwiched between crucial league encounters with Ballyclare Comrades and Dundela, Tuesday’s cup tie comes at a busy time for the Seasiders who must prepare for four games in 12 days and seven games across the month of November.
“It’s going to be a really tough month,” admitted Feeney.
“But we’ve got a good squad and I’ll be needing to use it throughout November. It’s no secret that our priority is the Championship, but we want to give Cliftonville a challenge on Tuesday night.
“Seven games in a month is a big ask and it will take its toll on players with freshness, injury and suspensions but that’s why we have a squad here to deal with it.”
