A successful day of motorsport and fundraising at Whitespots Trial Park near Conlig saw £1,000 raised to support Ireland’s Trials des Nations team ahead of their trip to Italy in September.

Hosted by Moto Trial NI, the event attracted 54 competitors and six practice riders from across Ireland. Standout performances included Ben Johnston winning the Semi-Expert class by a single mark and veteran Phillip McClurg topping the Clubman grade. The Sportsman class ended with six clean rides, with Chris Hampshire awarded the win for furthest travel.

Youth rider Tom Stevenson delivered a flawless run in Youth B, while Harry Annette led the Youth C field.

Following two relaxed laps of eight sections, participants enjoyed refreshments, an ice cream van, and the OHA-sponsored Summer Series prize-giving. Spectators were treated to elite-level demonstrations from top riders including Stuart McClurg and Jay Pyper.

Moto Trial NI extended thanks to all riders, volunteers, and sponsors—especially OHA and event observers—for their support. The club’s next event is the Classic Kickstart Trial at the Classic Bike Festival, Bishopscourt, from August 1–3.
